Your BAM Board Members hard at work planning for 2017!

Every year the Rotary clubs in Burleson unite for our annual golf tournament. The tournament is a fundraising opportunity where the proceeds collected are then allocated to continue in the rotary mission which is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through it's fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. Below is a list of areas the Burleson Area Rotary Clubs Support Scholarships to college-bound Burleson Students Harvest House Heart for the Kids Little Red School House Burleson Next Step Pregnancy Aid Center Wings of Hope Equitherapy Burleson ISD ​Polio Eradication Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Camp Wheelchairs distribution in Mexico These are just the few things the Rotary Clubs of Burleson do to impact not only the community of Burleson, but also internationally.

Burleson Area Midday Rotary conducted a tree planting ceremony at Bransom Elementary School in Burleson , Texas. BAM planted a 3 foot tree and then donated 90 saplings to students and faculty at Bransom Elementary School. The ceremony started with BAM's leader Lynn Bates educating the students on what Rotary is, our goals as an organization and why we were planting the tree. Around 90 students participated in planting the tree and enjoying some light refreshments provided by BAM.

Rotary in Action

We heard some of our RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) participants talk about their experience at the RYLA camp. Along with the RYLA presentations one of our BAM scholarship recipients spoke on how her BAM scholarship has helped her complete her higher edcuation in 3.5 years and her desire to pursue some Graduate level courses. She was able to attend ACU (Abilene Christian University) due to BAM's scholarship.

Each year, the city of Burleson's Rotarians unite to host the CA Roy & Floyd Walker Memorial Golf Tournament to raise funds for the promotion of Rotary's local and global mission.
